Why give?

  • Caring for the land is a year-round labor of love. Heavy winds and rains cause erosion. The wildfires have left their scars. The trails weave into the living ecosystem and need consistent maintainence.

  • We are always developing new additions to the structures at Turtle Lodge Gatherings. There is need for building materials, equipment, and labor. We dream big and you are part of that dream!

  • We care about your experience at Turtle Lodge. We care about your well being, your healing, and your thriving. We invite you to be part of shaping the developments and programs. The sky is the limit!

“It is all worth it, being part of making the magic happen.”

Jacob Markow

“It brings me so much joy to see Turtle Lodge rebuilt and serving the community once more.”

Tony Salzarulo

“Building tribe and honoring the land is what will save us.”

Mary Blanchard

Be part of the magic today.

It all begins with you. Your generosity makes all the difference.

 FAQs

  • There is never a cost for a sweat lodge session. It is, however, customary to bring a gift to the support of the Lodge and the ceremony officiator. What that gift is is up to you.

We generally have a potlach meal after the session and we invite you to bring your favorite food or drink to share so that the bounty may be plentiful.

  • There is a ticket price to reserve your spot at the annual Turtle Lodge Gathering, which can be found in the reservation link. The ticket fee can be waived for volunteers who put in eight hours of shift time either before or during the event. The ticket admission price goes towards the expenses of running the event, paying for performance artists, for rental equipment, and other services.

  • The heat inside the lodge can become quite intense and the humidity is very high. It is recommended to remove all metal from your person and to wear only natural fibers. There will be herbal scents added to the steam, and you may experience unexpected reactions. If you need air that is more cool and clear, staying low and facing towards the outside will offer relief.

Your comfort and safety are our primary concern at all times. Please speak up if you have any physical or emotional needs that you would like assistance with. If you need to exit the lodge, you may do so. Please do respect the experience of the other guests at all times.

  • We ask you please to leave your animal companions at home. If you absolutely must bring an animal companion, please check in with the site host and get approval before arrival. We are looking out for the safety of all who are present, and there can be unexpected and unforeseen incidents when an animal attends our gatherings. If you have been given approval to bring an animal, you are fully responsible for that animal and any harm that may result of interactions with that animal.
