Responsible Land Use

We were not the first ones here. They were here before us. Perhaps we cannot know how many thousands of years. We see all around us the things they left behind. Their way of life had been shattered and it was never going to be the same.

Wildfires. Pollution. Population explosions. Loss of wildlife, flora and fauna. Our way of life has not been around for very long at all. We are mayflies by comparison. The instability of what has been established haunts us all whether we are conscious of it or not.

We are here now. We have the power of choice. This land and all of its resources are precious and beautiful and sacred. We are stewards, perhaps by luck, perhaps by crazy chance, but we feel the weight of this responsibility on our shoulders. We want to preserve what we have received
