What Makes Community?

We all have our unique experiences and perspectives. No one before has been quite like you. What do you have to offer that has your own imprint of individuality?

In the ancient tradition of the Potlatch, people would come together and bring what they had to offer. Different people had different skills, interests, affinities. Because of the diversity of ways of being, the feast was rich and varied, plentiful and satisfying to all. When we come together with love and a willingness to share, we are so much more than the sum of our parts.

It is human to create art. It is human to tell stories. We dance, we sing, we drum. We come together and have a shared experience and almost we begin to feel what it is to be in the shoes of another. Can we see that all on this earth are part of one great whole? What will you bring to community?
